Business Internship for International Students


The Olin Center offers qualified students an opportunity to gain experience and training in the field of their choice in an American company, while improving their English skills in our Academic Preparation Course.


This program is perfect for

  • Students who are interested in training in a specific field of work.
  • Students desiring experience at a U.S. company.
  • Students who are proficient in English but would like to improve English in a working environment.
  • Students who are interested in pursuing an advance degree in a specific field in the U.S.

In this program students participate in an 8-week Internship program.  Students will participate in training at an American company and attend classes at the Olin Center three afternoons per week. Students in the internship are supervised both on-site and at the Olin Center.

This internship program is offered for current Olin Center international students on an I-20 from the Olin Center:

8-week program          $1500

(for continuing students only)

In this program students participate in an 8-week Internship program.  Students will participate in training at an American company and attend classes at the Olin Center two afternoons per week.  In these classes students learn principles of Business English and Organizational Behavior. Students in the internship are supervised both on-site and at the Olin Center.

General Requirements

  • Applicants must be full-time students at the Olin Center
  • Applications must be submitted 8 weeks in advance of the desired internship begin date.
  • Resume and language proficiency (TOEFL score of 550) must be submitted at time of application
  • Students in both options must pay a non-refundable placement fee of $250
  • Full payment (tuition, and placement fee) much be submitted with application
  • Student Internship Placement Questionnaire must also be completed and submitted at time of registration.
  • Placement will be in a professional job, but can not be guaranteed in the particular area of your choice.
