International Students

At the Olin Center, our mission is to provide excellent English language instruction, test preparation, and students services.  In our friendly environment, students learn the linguistic, cultural and scholastic skills they need to succeed in the academic environment of the United States.

Each year, the Olin Center welcomes international students from over forty countries who come to pursue a variety of linguistic, academic, and professional goals through the many programs we offer.

Intensive English

Whether you’re coming to study English for fun or with the goal of attending one of our partner universities, the Olin Center offers nine levels of intensive English, from beginning to advanced, and including Academic Preparation. Our courses begin every two weeks, and meet for a minimum of 4 weeks.

Exam Preparation

for TOEFL, GMAT, & GRE

We have Full-time Exam Preparation courses.  These exams are required for admission to various university programs.  We also offer combination classes:

                  TOEFL + Reading & Writing

University Access Program

The Olin Center has partnership agreements with the following Universities:

• Bunker Hill Community College
• Cambridge College
• Nichols College
• University of Massachusetts, Boston (undergraduate only)
• Boston Architectural College
• Berklee College of Music
• School of the Museum of Fine Arts
• Bay State College

Students who successful complete the highest level of English can enroll without taking the TOEFL exam. Students who wish to attend other universities may take advantage of the Olin Center’s extensive exam preparation in TOEFL, GMAT, and GRE.

We have close relationships with other institutions like Johnson and Wales University.  Contact us for details.

International Business Diploma Program

The Olin Center, in partnership with Cambridge College, offers a short-term International Business Diploma program. 

This program is 12-16 weeks long.

Students have an option to participate in an Internship program during the day, while attending Masters-level Business classes at night.

Students must have a 525 TOEFL score or its equivalent to qualify for this program.  If they do not have the required English proficiency level, students may begin in Intensive English classes prior to enrolling in this program.

Teacher Training Certificate Program

Interested in teaching English professionally? Our Teacher Training course teaches both theory and methods of teaching English, enabling you to earn a certificate to teach ESL in your own country.

Business Internship

Our Business Internship program can help you learn about your field of interest while gaining valuable work experience and learning about local companies.
